What is a Virtual Assistant?

A virtual assistant (typically known as a VA, also called a Virtual Office Assistant) is generally a self-employed individual that provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients remotely from a home office. Virtual Assistants are independent contractors rather than employees so their clients are not responsible for any employee-related taxes, insurance or benefits. Clients also avoid the logistical problem of providing extra office space, equipment or supplies. Clients pay for 100% productive work.

How long have you been a Virtual Assistant?

I’ve been a VA since 2015 but I’ve been an Administrative Support Professional for over 15 years. I’ve worked in Local Government, Private Sector and Education. I’ve held a number of positions including Administrative and Executive Assistant, Support Specialist, Customer Service and Support Specialist. I even spent a few years as a teaching assistant. These have all given me the skills and knowledge needed to provide my clients with exceptional service.

Who is the ideal client for TVM Business Solutions?

My ideal clients are small business owners, independent professionals, and they have a product or service that they are passionate about. My ideal client enjoys the flexibility of working with a VA, ready to rely on my expertise and is willing to delegate tasks to me.

How is TVM different from other VAs?

TVM specializes in working with Entrepreneurs, Therapist, Publishers, and coaches. I manage the administrative chores and marketing efforts that take you away from core activities that drive your bottom line. We work with you to develop a strategic plan that will move your business forward. Simply put, we help you deliver better results to your prospects and customers by providing the back-end support you need — so you can focus on the things that are MOST important to you and your business.

What is your Virtual Office Organization & Management system?

Backoffice management is a 5 step system to help organize my clients' back office and establish sound organizational practices.

  • Encourage the client to delegate more complex tasks.

  • Establish recurring procedures customized for individual clients.

  • Perform routine administrative tasks to support office organization.

  • Allow the client to focus on business and not worry about the back office.

  • Help my clients meet deadlines, stay on schedule and be fully prepared for meetings, their day, etc.

Is working with a Virtual Assistant expensive?

If comparing to the cost of a traditional, on-site employee – NO! Virtual Assistants are independent contractors, not employees so you don't ever worry about taxes, insurance, benefits, vacation or sick pay. There’s no need for office space, furniture, equipment, and supplies. You only pay for the time and services you need.
